INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cut the bacon and the venison into chunks. These should be small enough to comfortably fit them into your meat grinder. If you don’t have a meat grinder, you can find a great one here: https://cookspot.org/best-meat-grinder-for-deer/.
  2. Using a meat grinder, mix the bacon and venison. You should aim to have two-thirds of the mixture roughly ground, while the remaining third should be finely ground.
  3. Start preheating the grill, you should aim to be using high heat.
  4. Mold the mixture into burger patties. Try to avoid making them too firm, as this can make them tougher later.
  5. Prepare the grill, scraping off any excess food.
  6. Before adding the burgers, add a thin layer of salt. This will help the meat break down and enhance the flavor.
  7. Place them onto an open grill and cook for around 3 to 5 minutes, without flipping.
  8. Then, flip and cook the other side for around 3 to 5 minutes. We recommend using the Zulay Kitchen Tong Set for grill not to scratch the grill’s surface. After turning the burgers, sprinkle a little black pepper onto it.
  9. Repeat until all the patties are cooked.
  10. Once cooked, remove from the heat and leave to rest for a few minutes
  11. Cut open the bun and start preparing the burger. You can add whatever toppings you like. The most common ones are tomato, lettuce, cheese, and some kind of sauce.
  12. Serve the burgers.
