For what is the extra "pliers" for?

The "pliers" included with the Zulay pineapple corer are actually pineapple eye peelers. They assist in removing the eyes of the pineapple, making the coring process smoother and more efficient.

The core of the pineapple was difficult to remove, is there a trick to it?

Hi there, the core usually stays in the Pineapple as our slicer is not designed to cut through the outer rind of the Pineapple. It helps if you cut only through the soft flesh and pull the corer out before piercing through the rind.

If you do happen to cut through the rind and end up with the pineapple core inside to tool, simply remove the handle and then use a butter knife to push the core through the tool and out one of the ends.
