ON FEBRUARY 23RD WE CELEBRATE TWO VERY IMPORTANT THINGS, THE BIRTHDAY OF THE MOTHER OF THE CO-FOUNDER OF ZULAY KITCHEN AARON CORDOVEZ AND ZULAY'S DAY! JOIN US TO KNOW THIS INSPIRATIONAL STORIE.

"Zulay kitchen is named after my extraordinary mother, Zulay. she was raised in poverty-stricken Venezuela and, against all odds, brought my brother and I to live in the US. As a single mother, she worked extra-long hours but still found time to cook healthy meals for us. At the time, I thought nothing of it. But now that I'm married with children of my own, I see how much of a super-hero mom she really was."

This is our co-founder Aaron Cordovez message to his mother on her birthday:

"Happy Birthday to you Mom. You are the most perfect mom there is.You have an abundance of Love, Faith and Belief in others.You are a pure soul that seems beyond things of this world. You are always in a playful mood and have shown me that life is about happiness, creating beautiful moments and making others around us go up in life.Looking over my childhood I remember only times when you had undying faith and belief in me. Not just about who I was but where I would go and what I could accomplish. You believed in me when I did not believe in myself. And above all you let me go ahead on my path that I saw was the best after you showed me how to know what was good.Sometimes the world seems like it is not ready for kids because there are so many things from which we need to be protected.  But with your lessons of how to overcome everything we can all make it: Trust in yourself, Never give up and always know that there is so much good in all of us.With these beliefs a kid can grow up to be an honest person, kind and tolerant. And also create a new family, keeping in mind the legacy of your teachings.I love you very much mom and happy birthday, this is the most important day because this world has brightened up so much with you in it."
