Homemade Pumpkin Spice Donuts - Zulay Kitchen

Pumpkin Spice Donuts! With fall and all things pumpkin spice already dominating every store and coffee shop, it seemed like the right time to add a recipe about, well, pumpkin spice, of course!

These amazing donuts are a great dessert idea to include for Thanksgiving dinner. We got this delicious recipe courtesy of our friends at Mommieswithcents.com.

Pumpkin Spice Donut Recipe

TOTAL PREPARATION TIME: 35 minutes
SERVINGS: 18 donuts
COURSE: Dessert

Ingredients 

  • 1/2 Cup vegetable oil
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 1 1/2 Cups granulated sugar
  • 1 15 Oz. can of pumpkin puree
  • 1 1/2 Tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 1/2 Tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 Tsp. baking powder
  • 1 3/4 Cups flour
  • Coating:

  • 1 Stick of butter, melted
  • 1 Cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
  •  

    PREPARATION 

    • Preheat oven to 350°F.
    • In a large bowl, add all ingredients except the flour. Mix on medium speed until smooth. Add the flour, stirring until smooth.
    • Fill the wells of the donut pans evenly until about 3/4 full.
    • Bake the donuts 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
    • Remove the donuts from the oven. After a few minutes, transfer them to a cooling rack.
    • After the donuts have cooled off a bit but are still warm, quickly dip them on each side in the melted butter, then gently shake them in a bag with the sugar and cinnamon mixture to coat.
    • Serve and enjoy!
